PREGNANCY MASSAGE IN BADEN

Pregnancy massage is a specially adapted form of therapy designed to support expectant mothers and take their individual needs into account.

During this special phase, a woman’s body has to perform extraordinary feats – a miracle that is associated with many challenges and significant changes. As long as the pregnancy progresses without complications, this massage is ideal for pregnant women. The pressure is adjusted according to the week of pregnancy – in the first trimester only very gentle pressure is applied, while in the later stages the intensity can be varied according to the patient’s wishes.

The massage not only provides physical and emotional relief, but also helps with typical complaints such as back pain, tension or swelling.

How does a pregnancy massage work?

This massage technique aims to relieve or eliminate tension in the shoulder, neck and back area. Pregnancy massage can also relieve pressure on the joints.

Other positive effects include reducing headaches and sleep disorders, reducing stress, promoting skin elasticity, supporting posture, releasing blockages or congestion and reducing water retention. In combination with an oil massage, this method can also improve skin elasticity.

Furthermore, pregnancy massage can also provide emotional relaxation to counteract the challenges of pregnancy and the impending birth, thus helping to reduce stress.

When should you avoid a pregnancy massage?

The prerequisite for a massage is that the patient is in good health, as additional stress should be avoided. Massages should only be started after the 13th week of pregnancy, as the risk of miscarriage is increased in the first few weeks. We therefore advise against massage in this early phase.

Massage should also be avoided if there are any complications. This applies in particular if there is a risk of premature labor or problems with the placenta, growth disorders of the child, varicose veins, diabetes or autoimmune diseases. In such cases, it is important to always seek the advice of a gynecologist.

How does a pregnancy massage at Origin Massage in Baden work?

Before the massage begins, your therapist will carry out an initial anamnesis in which all relevant information for the treatment is collected. This usually takes around 5 to 20 minutes.

The therapist will then leave the room to give you privacy to change. During this time, you can prepare for the massage and lie down on the table.

Based on the anamnesis, the therapist will focus on the issues discussed and will be available for questions or feedback throughout the session.

At the end of the session, you have the option of making further appointments if you wish.
