Deep tissue massage in Uster
In a deep tissue treatment, constant, stronger pressure is applied, which is significantly stronger than in a relaxation massage. The focus is on deep-seated, adhered tissue, which is to be relaxed by the deep tissue massage.

How does the Deep Tissue treatment work?
Initially, a massage is performed with gentle pressure to “warm up” the muscles, tissue, tendons and ligaments and prepare them for the more intensive, deep-acting treatment.
A stronger grip is then applied to reach the affected areas. It is normal for pain to occur as a result. If the intensity is too strong, the pressure can be varied by communicating with the therapist.
For which complaints can the Deep Tissue treatment help?
Deep tissue massage is very beneficial for blood circulation and the stimulation of connective tissue. In addition, not only hardening but also scar tissue can be loosened.
In the course of deep tissue treatment, the resulting release of oxytocin and serotonin can also lead to a reduction in blood pressure – a great benefit for people with high blood pressure. In addition, this treatment method is also advisable after operations or sports injuries if tendons, ligaments or muscles in the affected areas are to become more “supple” through deep tissue treatment.
Finally, people who suffer from chronic pain, such as rheumatism, arthrosis or migraines, can also benefit from deep tissue treatment.
What is the process of a Deep Tissue treatment at Origin Uster?
Before the massage begins, your massage therapist will carry out an initial examination to gather essential information for the treatment. This anamnesis takes about 5 to 20 minutes.
You will then be given the opportunity to prepare for the massage in privacy by undressing. During this time, you can mentally prepare yourself for the upcoming treatment and position yourself on the massage bench.
Based on the initial questioning, your massage therapist will focus on the identified problem areas and will be available throughout the session for any feedback or queries you may have.
Follow-up appointments can be arranged at the end of the session if desired.
When should you not use this form of treatment?
If you have a blood clot or are prone to blood clots, we advise you not to have a deep tissue massage, as this treatment method may trigger them.
If you are about to undergo a medical procedure, radiotherapy or chemotherapy, deep tissue therapy is also not recommended. People with osteoporosis and pregnant women should also avoid this form of treatment due to the strong pressure of a deep tissue massage.
You should also avoid deep tissue massage if you have bruises, inflammation, infected skin, skin rashes, open wounds, tumors or areas where you have recently suffered a fracture.
