Foot reflexology massage in Uster
Foot reflexology has a positive influence on the entire body and the organ system. Based on the assumption that certain zones on the feet have a reflex connection to internal organs, certain massage techniques can alleviate various physical complaints. The massage is mainly performed on the soles of the feet, toes, heels and tops of the toes.

What are the basics of reflex zone massage?
Foot reflexology works in a similar way to Chinese acupressure or acupuncture – although the two methods have different origins and should not be confused.
Reflexology as we know it originates from the North and Central American Indian peoples. Around 1913, the doctor William Fitzgerald discovered that massaging certain areas of the feet can lead to pain relief in other parts of the body. Reflective connections have also been known in other cultures for a long time.
The left and right side of the body can be treated by treating the respective foot. The same applies to the hands. However, it has not yet been possible to scientifically explain how these remote effects occur in the body.
When is a massage of the foot reflex zones recommended?
Foot reflexology massage has a positive influence on the entire body in every respect, as there are interactions with both the organs and muscle groups. It can have a particularly supportive effect on digestive disorders, inflammation, stress and exhaustion, as well as pain, tension, a weak immune system or cardiovascular problems.
In order to achieve the desired effect, several appointments should be made. Normally, conventional medical techniques are also used in combination.
When should it not be used?
As a general rule, the feet should be healthy, as injuries or skin diseases on them can impair the massage. Foot reflexology should also be avoided in the case of acute vein injuries, varicose veins or serious illnesses. It should also be avoided if you are pregnant or have a mental disorder. It is always advisable to seek medical advice if there are any uncertainties.
